Define the word attitude. (way of thinking, acting, feeling)
What are goals? (something you want and work for)
How does a person’s attitude affect reaching their goals.
What does a negative attitude do to reaching your goals? How does a positive attitude affect reaching your goals?
Who is responsible for your attitude?
What is a value? (something you believe in that is important to you)
How might you feel after doing something that you shouldn't have or after having a bad attitude?
When you feel good about yourself it is easier to stick to your values. You have the courage to do what is right.
Before making decisions think about your choices and options. If you decide the correct thing to do is say no use these refusal steps.
1. Look the person in the eye when saying No
2. You can give a reason for saying no (if you want) it might help them understand your
point of view.
3. If you still feel pressured leave the situation.
4. Tell a trusted adult about the situation.
Know what you will do when it is hard to say “NO”.

Stressors- are the things that cause stress….name a few.
Stress is a normal part of life however prolonged stress can be harmful to your health, causing physical and mental problems. Having a good attitude can help you deal with stresses.
Everyone deals with stress differently. Can a negative attitude make the stress worse?
Stress relievers: What relieves your stress? This is different for everyone.

When might a person feel sad, hurt, upset or angry? What might be some good reactions to these feelings? What might be some poor choice reactions to these feelings?
What are some ways to improve your attitude if you are feeling sad, upset, angry or hurt
It is okay to have those feelings but it is important to mange those feeling correctly.

1. Everyone had the right to speak so don’t interrupt
2. Everyone has the right to respect, don’t use put-downs. Be prepared to repeat what
someone has just said to show you are listening and understand.
3. Everyone must show they can work together to solve the problem.
We know what cooperation is so let’s review that. What is negotiating? What is mediate?
You can develop the ability to be responsible for your attitude and reactions to situations that come your way.

2. When you are upset do you keep it inside you?
